The geothermic preheating through the suction tower (or the Canadian well) uses the relative constant temperature of the soil to preheat or cool the air before entering into the mechanical controlled heat collector ventilator.

It is a system of “surfaces” since its conducting tubes are about 1.5/2.0 meters underground and uses the air as a thermic vector.

The Geothermic cooling system has the function of facilitating the entrance of conditioned air from underground into the residential houses, at a lower temperature than the external air.

In addition, there will be a partial removal of humidity from the external air; the remaining condensed air from the underground transition tubes will be stored in a dedicated container near the well.

The use of a big stainless steel collection tower will enable the collection of air from a certain height (about 1.2 meters) from the soil, to avoid the contamination of the same air from bad odors from the underground soil (odors from the growth of microorganisms, underground water, etc.) or polluted soil substances: From the radioactive element RADON (Rn) and discharged wastes from motor or car engines.

Moreover, the diameters of the towers of aspirations and related piping provided is already sized to have the air inside them to 3 m/s speed.

In addition, the installation of this system is advisable in the case of an underground technical center, where preheated tubes are assembled together, as a container.

This will aid the management of condensed air that are formed inside the underground tubes, due to the difference in temperature. We can easily provide the necessary inclination for the discharge of condensed air storage.

In the absence of an underground technical center/laboratory, there is the possibility to manage the condensed air by creating a small well under the suction tower or half way meeting point between the suction tower and underground tubes connection at the assigned technical center.
